Blundell’s is back to its lively self after a quiet few months on campus for me and the team. The start of this academic year feels especially momentous, with the school returning in the new uniform and celebrating exceptional GCSE and A-Level results. We're also excited about a major step forward in our students' educational experience with the introduction of laptops for every pupil in all lessons.
Welcome also to all the new OBs who will be receiving the Popham Post for the first time since leaving Blundell’s.
All the best,
(W1991-96)
As always, feel free to reach out to me or the team with any thoughts, feedback or event ideas (t.cowle@blundells.org).

Exam Success
We've had an incredible summer celebrating our pupils' fantastic exam results.
For the second year in a row, over 80% of A-Level grades were A* to B, and 90% of pupils secured their first or second choice university.
Our GCSE results were our best ever, with 41% of grades at 8 or 9, and 22 pupils achieving an average grade of 8.0 or higher.

1974 1st XV Rugby Reunion
On Saturday 14th September, the 1st XV from 1974 came back to Blundell’s to celebrate their 50th reunion. The sun was shining as we welcomed back the players, enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Beale Centre, and shared in the excitement with parents cheering on the Blundell’s 1st XV in their match against Millfield. A big thank you to Rob Cole (OH 1970-75) for all his support and for awarding a special Man of the Match trophy.

A fantastic day of Blundell's Touch Rugby!
On Sunday, 15th September, we proudly hosted the fourth Blundell’s Community Touch Rugby Tournament, welcoming 12 men's teams and, for the first time, 4 ladies' teams. Teams included Old Blundellians, The Scrummy Mummies, Westlake House OB's, Blundell's Braves Touch Rugby Club, Kings Taunton, Millfield, Blundell’s Belles, Sherborne, our own Blundell's staff team, and an invitational side run by our Director of Rugby, Tony Yap.
It was a day filled with camaraderie, great sportsmanship, and fantastic support from our Prep and Senior School parent committees.
