Charity Gala Success!

Blundell’s first charity Gala was a great success, raising £10k for charity!

Over 100 guests attended a 3-course meal and charity auction. The food was superb, with Food4You providing a seasonal meal, where the highlight was Fillet of Devonshire beef.

Over 20 auction items were up for bids on the night and thanks to some very generous donors and bidders, we now have £10k to support Blundell’s charities (Little Hero, Bhambayi Project, CHAT & Hospiscare), fund for school tours for bursary recipients and Blundell’s Community Partnerships.

Thank you to Savills Estate Agents and Sir Christopher Ondaatje (P 1947-51) for sponsoring the event and to all the guests in attendance. We look forward to planning this event again next Winter 2023.

Oral History Project

Cathy Flavelle, School Archivist, is looking to create an Archive of Oral History.

She is looking to speak to Old Blundellians, Former Members of Staff or Well-Wishers or anyone involved with Blundell's.

These interviews will be recorded and stored as part of our Archive collection.

Phone Calls from Pupils

If you are an Old Blundellian who left Blundell's ~1946 to 1950, you may have received a call from one of our Pupils.

A dozen Year 9s have signed up as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award to make calls to our Community.

What has been fascinating to witness is the confidence gained by these pupils making calls and the genuine enjoyment these pupils have from speaking to these Old Blundellians.

If you would like to sign up to receive a call, please let us know. They'd love to speak to keen OBs, Former Staff and Well-Wishers.

Calling all OB Authors

Are you an OB Author or do you know someone that is? In conjunction with the School Librarian, the OB Club is creating an official collection of OB Books.

These books, publications etc will become a part of the school library and will be accessable to the Blundell's Community to view or borrow. Please let us know if you are an OB author or have friends or aquantances who are, so we can add send you more information.
