New School Year & Exam Results
We kick off the start to the new school year by celebrating all that our pupils have accomplished in their exams last term.
Blundell’s School pupils have achieved a fantastic set of A Level results this year. This marks a significant achievement, particularly in the light of grades returning to normal with the more restrictive awarding of top grades than for the last 2 years. We are therefore delighted to announce that 54% of grades are at A* or A and 79% at A* to B. Almost a quarter of the grades achieved were an A*. 30 pupils out of the year group of 92 achieved 3As or more, and 7 pupils achieved all A*s. Our value added is once again very strong across all abilities.
There has been a particularly high rate of acceptance for Blundell’s students into their choice of university, with over 90% being placed with popular destinations including Oxford, Imperial, LSE, Durham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Reading and Manchester.
For the full round-up please visit our website.

Magpie Vets at Bisley - Peter Ward (FH 1959-64), Simon Allanson-Bailey (M 1975-80), Rob Bentata (FH 1982-87), Mark Wooff (M 1977-82), Hugo Brooke (NC 1949-54) and Anthony Ward
From Peter Ward "Whilst the team score wasn't top of the pops, all five scored steadily enough, and there was a full complement for the first time since 2018. The senior member of the team was Hugo Brooke, who smashed his own record for being the oldest OB to have represented the School in any sport, being less than a fortnight off his 87th birthday on the day."
Fun was had by all and we thank the Magpie Vets for competing.
