Obituary Michael Charles Seffrien Alken ('Mike')

Michael Charles Seffrien Alken (born Harlyn House, Padstow), passed away on July 12th 2025 following an honourable fight against cancer. Although diagnosed with Parkinson's, Mike continued to walk the Cornish coastline each day, at his own speed, come rain or shine. He is survived by his wife Kate and daughter Jessica, who made up the entirety of his world together with grandsons Ernie (age 7), Miles (age 6) and Ash (son-in-law) they are all immensely proud of him and his gentle, generous nature. Mike never complained, nor sought attention but he earned respect by being who he was, a true gentleman whose greatest mission in life was to care for his family.
