Obituary James Bray Banbury
Jim Banbury died peacefully on 18th November 2016, aged 86. He was a pupil at Blundell's from 1944 to 1948, in Westlake. After leaving school he qualified as a Chartered Accountant whilst spending his weekends competing in motor trials and speed hill climbs. He married Gisela, in Germany, in 1962 and they moved to London. Jim worked in London before retiring and returning to Devon. He always maintained a keen interest in Blundell's life; his daughter Christina was in GH 1980-1982 and son John in Westlake 1992-1997. Jim's brother Peter and nephews Henry and Edward were also all in Westlake. Jim was a School Governor from 1993-95, and was also Chairman of the PB Society and a Trustee of the Chapel Committee.
