Roger Bowles passed away at the Rosedale Hospice, Calgary, on March 16, 2015. He was educated in England at Blundell's School, and Loughborough University, where he graduated as an electrical engineer. He immigrated to Canada in 1954. Roger is survived by his wife, Gillian, son Marc and three grandchildren, Jill and her husband Blair, Timothy and Ross. His brother, Robert, and sister, Betty predeceased him. His corporate career spanned 25 years and included employment with Shell Oil, the Federal Business Development Bank, CP Ltd. and Petro Canada. In 1980 he incorporated VIDEODEX in Calgary, which he ran until his retirement in 2004. He was hardworking but enjoyed the challenges of developing his own company.
