Obituary Jeffery Kerslake
Jeffery Kerslake (5/1933 - 3/2017) joined Blundell's School from Tiverton Grammar in 1950 after a chance encounter with a Master at the School, Graham Parker who would become his school mentor and lifelong friend. He was a keen sportsman, especially cricket and also active in the Air Corps.
After completing his National Service in the RAF, where he flew the Meteor, he went up to Selwyn College, Cambridge.
After graduating from university, Jeffery embarked on a career in the textile industry at Heathcoat's in Tiverton before moving to the Midlands where he eventually became a CEO of a large clothing manufacturer. He maintained a love of sport and Devon throughout his life and frequently spoke of his childhood growing up in Willand. He leaves a wife, Annie, 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
