Obituary Robert Morris

Robert Morris died 30th December 2007, aged 81 (W 1940-45).

Robert gained considerable success at Blundell’s as a cricketer, where Ted Crowe was his contemporary and cricketing team mate and where his relative, Ronald Seldon, was his house master.  Robert captained the school XI in 1945 and went on to represent the Pubic Schools team in matches at Lord’s that summer.  He studied History at Trinity Hall, Cambridge and while there opened the batting, gaining a Blue in 1949, before briefly representing Kent in the county championship.  He worked as a school master until retirement 16 years ago.  He is survived by his wife Jacqueline and his two children, Sian and Owen.
